Kites is an intricate work of art designed by Tan Chin-Chin, an Philip Morris Aean Art Award and UOB Painting of the Year award-winning Singapore artist.
Comprising two separate pieces which are almost similar in theme and design, Kites illustrates a harmonious fusion of cultures in our multi-racial Republic.
Traditional fabrics and textiles, indigenous to the four ethnic races in Singapore are artfully assembled together to form a beautiful piece of work.
Each measuring 20 feet x 32 feet, the works are vibrant in colours and engaging in details. Kites is displayed on the second level of Conrad Centennial Hotel in Singapore.
Door Screen is part of the permanent collection of the Singapore Art Museum.
