Humans have acquired a form of informational processing based on the organization of information in long-term memory.  Schemata is the organization of this information and the rules that govern its use and combination. Schemata represent the structure of an object, scene, or idea. When we view Metamorphosis, we activate various schemata that expect certain objects and juxtapositions.
