HUMAN PERSPECTIVES

Opening 19 Feb 2002

Exhibition period: 20-24 Feb 2002

The Substation Gallery

A debut by markmakers", expect anything but an uninvolved stroll through a

gallery of perfectly-rendered drawings. Each depiction of the human figure

will instead challenge your conventional perspective, and take you on an

intimate and revealing journey into the artist's own personal viewfinder.

This exhibition is also in aid of the AWWA Center for Care, Education &

Social Services Building Fund.

The Asian Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) was established in 1970. To

date, AWWA has initiated 6 welfare projects and is planning to build a

purpose-built facility to house the Special School (for Children with

Multiple Disabilities) and TEACH ME (a Therapy and Educational Support

Service for physically disabled children studying in main stream schools),

and AWWA Headquarters.

markmakers" is a group of figure drawing enthusiasts formed in May 2001.

Adopting the 'mark' as a basic tool for self-expression, we embarked on a

journey to discover our creative vocabulary. Check out our website:
