Choy Kok Kee

 

Choy Kok Kee, the artist, holds a Master Degree in Design for Interactive Media from the renowned Lansdown Centre of Electronic Arts, Midlesex University, London.

In 1999, Kok Kee was invited by Singapore Art Museum to create an installation Interactive Media Art millennium piece for Nokia Singapore Art 1999, which marked the first IT art in Singapore at that class . The created interactive media art work was titled T2000.

Kok Kee was also invited by the Infocomm Development Authority Singapore to showcased T2000 at the Efestival Asia 2000. After the EfestivalAsia, Kok Kee was invited by the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) for the permission to showcase T2000 as SAM representative piece for the Museum Festival 2001 - IT Innovation at the Parco. Apart from creating Interactive Media Art installation, he paints. Kok Kee's works dates back to 1974, when he started his artistic endeavor.

Since, Kok Kee's works have won numerous art awards in local and foreign arenas, and have been acquired by both foreign and local commercial institutions, government bodies and educational institutions.

Currently, Kok Kee is a lecturer and Manager of Digital media at the School of Film and Media Studies, Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He is also an advisor to LasalleSIA College of the Arts Foundation Studies and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Multimedia Department.
