'New Image New Way' brings nine Australian artists work to exhibit in Singapore. The work is presented by Bonemap while on a four month residency at The Substation courtesy of the Asialink Foundation for Arts and Humanities.
The art comprise glass, sculpture, painting, silk batik, and mixed media works from a cross section of artists living in Cairns and Tropical North Queensland surrounds.
Curator Russell Milledge says 'The exhibition presents a small sample of the diversity of cultural interests in Australia. It hopes to showcase the unique mix of identities and voices present within the artistic community of Northern Australia, with its own brand of cultural production and image making. We hope to kindle relationships, potential alliances and audience exposure providing these nine artists’ with the opportunity to engage with Singaporean audiences.'
