Art Caddy Project

Dear Editors and Journalists,

Due to unexpected wet weather conditions on May 1, we are meeting on Saturday to complete the installation and the participating audience should be about 20 people strong.

Date: Saturday, May 4, 2002
Time: 12 noon - 1 p.m.
Venue: Sculpture Square (near the La Fete restaurant), 155 Middle Road
Tel: 6333 1055

It is a pleasure to invite you to the launch of The Moleculux Art Caddy Project at Sculpture Square.

You may arrange for an interview with the artist Chng Nai Wee.  A convoy of Caddy vans will perform a drive-past with the Art Caddy at the venue and this is an opportunity for photography as well as for an interview with the group.

If you wish to cover the event, please help provide the names and contact numbers of your staff.  In case of bad weather, I can direct them and the audience to an alternative location.

In tribute to the artist Chng Nai Wee and in promotion of Sculpture Square's first outdoor light installation exhibition, the audience is invited to participate and jointly create an Art Caddy that will showcase the artist's polymathic talents and our interpretation of his works currently on show.

The Moleculux Art Caddy will travel around Singapore until May 31, 2002.  The owner of the Volkswagen Caddy, Christopher Lim, a 25-year-old technopreneur (founder of EZ-IT.com), has volunteered his beloved "Ferrari-wannabe" to be transformed into a work of art.

Through the Moleculux sculptures (http://www.moleculux.com), Chng Nai Wee explores the aesthetics of molecular forms, and the interplay of light intensity, color and space.  The Moleculux Art Caddy complements the 3-D sculptures.

We wish to encourage a greater awareness and appreciation of Chng Nai Wee's works in and around Singapore.  We look forward to your coverage of the event!

Thanks and Regards,
