- Jerry Herman, La Cage Aux Folles

Both the young artists involved in I=Am are involved in a search for expressing personal identities through art. But while Arron Teo takes the attention-grabbing route with his acrylics of bikini-clad ladies and manga-inspired icons, Janice Chin takes a quieter path, presenting introspective renditions of boxed-in figures in pastels. The exhibition is thus of contrasting styles, pitting technicolour pop art against surreal, psychological dreamscapes, and the viewer vacillates between flashy images of external branding and subdued figurations of internal tensions.
